The New Monk Project recognizes the appearance in the world of a new form of monastic vocation addressing itself to people who will continue to live in the world as ordinary people. We seek to meet the needs of these "New Monks" for companionship and support by means of a personal Network, an Educational Center and eventually Core Communities dedicated to carrying out different aspects of our mission.

The New Monk pioneers an "eco-spirituality" and applies it to all aspects of life. The Network is our means of communication and mutual support. The Project serves as the central switchboard for moving insights and information along the Network path.

Directed to the reality that is at the heart of all spiritual experience, The New Monk Project welcomes contemplatives from all religious traditions, as well as those with no formal religious affiliation.
